Dusklin

Dusklin · France

Your phone, answered after you close.

Most businesses close at five or six. The calls do not stop: a boiler that will not light at seven, a dog that will not eat on a Sunday, someone who wants Tuesday at ten. Voicemail loses them to the next name on the list. Dusklin answers instead, works out what they need, and puts it in front of you as the call ends.

How a call goes

  1. It answers. Two rings, on a local French number, or forward your existing line. It opens by saying it is an AI and that the call is recorded and transcribed, and asks whether that is all right.
  2. It works out what they need. Urgent or routine, a booking or a question, using your hours, your services and your own rules.
  3. It does one of three things. Takes a message. Books a time your calendar has open. Sends you the name, number and request as the call ends.

Dusklin identifies itself as an AI at the start of every call, which is what the EU AI Act (Article 50) asks of AI systems that talk to people.

01

Answers every call after you close

Two rings, in a natural voice, in the caller's language. It opens by saying it is an AI and that the call is recorded and transcribed, and asks whether that is all right.

02

Knows your business, not a script

Your hours, your services, your address. It never quotes a price you did not give it; if it has no figure, it says so and takes their number for you to call back.

03

Follows your rules, in your words

Which jobs are urgent, what to say about prices, who to put through, words never to use. Send a line and it changes the same day.

04

Takes the message properly

Name, number, what they need and how soon, sent to you as the call ends, by text where your line supports it and otherwise by email, and kept in your console with the transcript.

05

Books a time you actually have

Connect a calendar and it offers only slots that are open, confirms the one they pick, and sends it to you as the call ends.

06

Never ends in nothing

Every call ends in a message, a booking, or the caller's name and number. Someone who rings off in silence is still a customer, and you see their number whenever the caller shows it.

Straight answers

Is it a person?
No. It is software, and it says so at the start of every call. It can misunderstand a caller; you read the transcript in your console and you check your messages.
What happens to the recordings?
Call records, audio and transcripts are kept for 90 days and the messages themselves for up to twelve months, then deleted; you can ask us to delete yours sooner. Nothing is used to train models and nothing is sold. Data is processed in the United States; the privacy policy says what, where and on what basis.
Do I need a new number?
Either way. Keep your number and forward it after hours, or get a local number from us.
Who sets it up?
Tolga does, within one working day, from your hours, services and rules. Send a line later and it changes the same day.
